Technology that supports the experience.

At Room 410 the technology is never the main event. It sets the stage, supports the process and leads into skilled hands-on therapy.

If you are new to recovery technology, this page explains each part in plain language. You do not need to know anything in advance. Your practitioner will guide you through every phase of your personalized recovery sequence at the Nomad Hotel in Fort McMurray.

Phase 01 · Prepare · 20 min

PEMF mat

A full-body mat beneath you, designed to create a calm, immersive start to your session.

PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field. In a recovery setting, a PEMF mat is used as a gentle, hands-free part of the session: you simply lie back and relax while it works alongside the rest of the Room 410 experience.

At Room 410 the mat sits beneath you as part of the recovery setup, not as a stand-alone gadget.

What it feels like

  • Quiet and hands-free
  • Nothing to operate or adjust yourself
  • A slow, unhurried beginning

Your practitioner will tell you if PEMF is suitable for you before your session.

Phase 01 · Prepare · 20 min

Red + Near-Infrared light

Two large light stations frame the recovery area and set the mood for your session.

Red and near-infrared (NIR) light are gentle, low-heat forms of light used in wellness and recovery settings. In Room 410 they are delivered by two tall, architectural light stations, so you can relax in the glow without wearing or holding anything.

Red light is the soft glow you can see. Near-infrared light is not visible, which is why the room looks calm and warm rather than bright.

What to expect

  • A soft red glow in a dimmed room
  • No need to wear or hold anything
  • Time to rest, breathe and slow down
  • Relaxation and stress relief
  • Circulation support
  • A calm, reset-focused start to your recovery
  • Preparation for TECAR and KinoStretch™

Phase 02 · Recover · 20 min

TECAR therapy

A focused, practitioner-guided technology phase, integrated around your needs and recovery goals.

TECAR is a professional recovery tool used by a trained practitioner. It is used in many sports and recovery settings, and many people notice a gentle sense of warmth during the session.

At Room 410, TECAR is never the visual hero. Your practitioner guides the handpiece with purpose, adjusts the approach to you, and then moves straight into hands-on movement work in the next phase.

What to expect

  • Guided and adjusted by your practitioner
  • Comfortable, with a gentle warm sensation for many people
  • Designed around your recovery goals

Your practitioner will confirm TECAR is suitable for you before it is used.
